Memristors have received much attention during the last decade due to their non-volatility, large scalability and low-power operation, and their great potential in high-density integrated non-volatile memories and neuromorphic circuits. In all these applications memristors are typically arranged in large arrays and operate with fast signals. In this work, the frequency response of standalone and crossbar-placed memristors is analysed, and a low-frequency compact model for the ON and OFF states is proposed. In addition, the experiments reveal a significant mutual influence between the memristors in a crossbar on their frequency response.
